I can’t believe we’re only one week away from Thanksgiving!
With that being said, our agency began a food drive last month to collect non-perishable items for the FOOD Pantry of Waukesha County.
Thousands of Waukesha County families go without proper nutrition every day. Children, elderly, working but underemployed, individuals with disabilities or health issues and those that are temporarily unemployed are affected most often. After bills, rent, or unexpected financial troubles, many people are left with very little money, if any for food. The FOOD Pantry of Waukesha County helps those people through those times.
During the entire month of November, we’ll be collecting any and all non-perishable food items (dried fruit, peanut butter, canned goods, juice, etc.) for the food pantry.
We’re also collecting the below child birthday party items, which the food pantry will use to create a themed party box for a child in our community.
- Birthday cake mix
- Canned frosting
- Small cake plates
With the holidays upon us, please consider donating a few items at our office, or drop them off directly to the FOOD Pantry of Waukesha County located at 1301 Sentry Dr in Waukesha.
Thanks again for allowing us to protect your families.
